Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related machining equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts meet quality standards.
- Edit CNC programs and make necessary machine adjustments to optimize production.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep equipment in proper working order.
- Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
- Experience with CNC milling and/or turning operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Experience performing machine setups, tool changes, and program edits.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical machining training is a plus.
