Aero Pack and Ship is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-minded Part-Time Sales Consultant. Duties will include Business-To-Business sales calls and meeting with potential clients to capture new accounts: helpingcustomers in the store solve shipping, packaging, freight, mailbox, notary, shredding, and retail service needs; and engaging in business development to meet sales and growth objectives. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, communicating clearly, learning practical logistics services, and completing customer transactions accurately through the Point of Sale system. ## Key Responsibilities - Business-To-Business sales development and customer growth. - A deep understanding of company capabilities with the ability for clear effective communication focused on business development and client needs. - Travel locally for business cold calls, and sustain customer relations. - Internal to the store, you will welcome customers warmly and provide professional, courteous assistance. - Listen to customer needs and recommend appropriate shipping, packaging, packing supplies, mailbox, shredding, notary, gift wrapping, or freight-related solutions. - Help customers understand service options, pricing, packaging needs, carrier choices, and delivery expectations. - Complete sales transactions accurately through the store's Point of Sale system. - Assist customers with parcel shipping, label creation, packaging choices, and basic shipment preparation. - Sell packing materials, boxes, envelopes, tape, padding, gift items, and related retail products. - Support customers with heavy, fragile, oversized, or unusual items by helping identify the appropriate packing or shipping solution. - Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail counter and customer service area. - Follow store procedures for cash handling, customer accounts, receipts, and daily transaction accuracy. - Help promote a positive customer experience built on trust, patience, and problem-solving. - Assist with document shredding intake, Certificates of Destruction, mailbox services, and other store capabilities as trained. - Escalate complex freight, notary, compliance, or customer-service questions to management when needed. - Represent Aero Pack and Ships values of service, integrity, professionalism, and community care. ## Qualifications - Must have strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help people. - Must have the ability to listen, ask good questions, and recommend practical solutions. - Must be comfortable using a computer, Point of Sale system, printer, scanner, and basic office equipment. - Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts consistently. - Must be professional appearance and positive attitude. - Must have the ability to handle multiple customers and tasks in a fast-paced retail environment. - Must be detail-oriented with the ability to follow procedures accurately. - Must be trustworthy when handling customer information, payments, mail-related services, and confidential documents. - Prior retail, customer service, sales, shipping, office, logistics, or small-business experience is helpful but not required. - Must be able to legally drive and pass a drug test. Because of heavy equipment, customer interactions, and commercial trucking on site, all employees must be drug free. ## Physical Requirements - Ability to stand for extended periods during a shift. - Ability to lift and move packages, boxes, and supplies as needed. - Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds without any external help. - Ability to bend, reach, carry, and organize retail and shipping materials. - Ability to use computers and Point of Sale systems, and rapidly learn new systems. - Ability to assist with packages of varying sizes; heavier or oversized items may require team assistance or equipment. ## Preferred Skills - Professional sales with Business-To-Business, and customer relations. - Experience in consultative sales or customer problem-solving. - Familiarity with FedEx, DHL, UPS, USPS, freight, or packaging services. - Experience with small-business customers, marketplace sellers, or e-commerce shipping. - Multilingual ability is a plus. - Notary experience or willingness to become a notary is a plus. ## Work Environment This position is based inside a retail shipping, packaging, and logistics store.
