Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.
The Position:
ACET is hiring a Wing Scheduler for the 5th Bomb Wing and 5th Operations Group at Minot AFB, North Dakota.
This position supports Wing Scheduling for the 5th Operations Group. Qualifications match the squadron aircrew scheduler positions; the work is at unit level rather than individual aircrew level. The long-range flying program at a northern tier base has to absorb severe winter weather, so the position's core product, a sustainable long-range scheduling system, must plan for weather loss as a matter of course.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a comprehensive long-range scheduling system, including the prioritization of tankers and agile combat employment operations.
- Align long-term mission planning with Operations Group objectives through collaboration with the flying squadrons and operational units.
- Keep resources optimized and strategically aligned with tenant units and with AFGSC goals.
- Mine historical mission data to improve the accuracy of future plans.
- Produce detailed decision-support reports for Operations Group leadership.
- Deliver training to Operations Group personnel on the long-range scheduling system and transfer knowledge so the Group can operate it independently.
- Maintain PEX and locally developed database systems, and post unit long-range and short-range flying, simulator, and ground training schedules.
- Coordinate with outside agencies, exercise participants, and higher headquarters for exercise and special event scheduling and reporting.
- Obtain aircraft and equipment availability data from maintenance for inclusion in unit-level schedules.
- Attend weekly Special Use Airspace and Airspace Restrictions meetings and monthly Range Scheduling meetings.
- Report schedule updates to squadron, group, and wing leadership.
Qualifications:
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working as a squadron aircrew scheduler.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with PEX or a similar proprietary scheduling program.
