The City of Ada is accepting applications for the full-time position of Assistant Finance Director until filled. The selected individual will work in close collaboration with, and under the direction and supervision of, the Finance Director/Treasurer to support the planning, directing, management, and oversight of all activities and operations within the finance division.
Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible financial management or accounting experience including internal auditing; plus, three years of management and administrative responsibilities. Training: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting. Certification: Possession of or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid Municipal Clerks and Treasurers certification, annually.
Knowledge of governmental accounting theory, principles and practices and internal control procedures necessary to safeguard assets. Knowledge of federal/state grants.
