Senior Software Engineer Hard Real-Time Embedded C++ (Maple Grove, MN)OverviewSenior-level individual contributor role (90% hands-on development, 10% technical leadership) focused on designing and developing hard real-time embedded C++ software for safety-critical munitions systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and integrate hard real-time embedded C++ software.Lead software efforts across the full SDLC including requirements, architecture, implementation, integration, verification, and testing.Support software verification, cybersecurity, safety, quality, and configuration management activities.Collaborate with systems, safety, and software architecture teams to deliver high-reliability solutions.Participate in technical reviews, customer engagements, project planning, and status reporting.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.Required Qualifications5+ years of embedded software development experience.Strong expertise in hard real-time embedded C++ and object-oriented design.Experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal systems.Full software lifecycle experience including requirements, design, integration, testing, and verification.Ability to lead technical efforts and work within cross-functional engineering teams.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.Preferred QualificationsDefense, aerospace, munitions, or other safety-critical systems experience.Cybersecurity knowledge or certifications.Experience with Linux-based embedded platforms.Familiarity with government programs, formal design reviews, and verification testing.
