Overview:
Our client, a leading employee-owned engineering firm specializing in electrical power distribution, industrial control systems, and advanced technology solutions, is seeking a IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, maintain, and support secure, scalable enterprise IT infrastructure. This role will manage networking, VMware, Veeam, Windows Server, and hybrid environments while supporting upgrades, security, and disaster recovery. The ideal candidate has 3-10 years of infrastructure experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and hands-on expertise with enterprise networking and virtualization.This full-time position is located in Bellevue, WA.
Pay range: $90,000 - $110,000

Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, virtual machines, templates, and clustering.
- Implement and support Veeam backup, recovery, and replication solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, domain controllers, file servers, and application servers.
- Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure improvements.
- Maintain secure IT environments through patching, system hardening, role-based access controls, and other security best practices.
- Integrate and support hybrid infrastructure across on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and project teams to improve system resiliency, security, scalability, and manageability.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, virtualization, backup, and server-related issues across multiple environments. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-10 years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Experience administering enterprise network environments, including switches, firewalls, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Experience managing VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, VM templates, and clustering.
- Working knowledge of Veeam backup and recovery strategies in hybrid environments.
- Experience administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, file services, and virtual machines.
- Experience managing and integrating on-premises and cloud-based IT infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Desired Qualifications
- VMware, Microsoft, or network vendor certifications.
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages for task automation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with IT security tools and practices, including endpoint protection and auditing.
- Exposure to cloud IaaS platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of ITIL or structured change management processes.
