Production Print Operator

Position Summary

The Printing Operator is responsible for overseeing and performing daily printing operations within a manufacturing environment, with a primary focus on wide-format printing and production labels. This position ensures print jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to established quality standards and production deadlines

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Process and manage wide-format print orders according to customer specifications, production schedules, and established deadlines.
• Prepare digital files for printing, verify file accuracy, and produce proofs for approval when required.
• Operate wide-format printing equipment and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal print quality and production efficiency.
• Monitor printing operations to ensure jobs are completed accurately and meet established quality standards.
• Inspect finished printed materials for accuracy, color consistency, defects, and overall quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot printing or production issues and take appropriate corrective action.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance, routine cleaning, and basic troubleshooting to maintain equipment performance.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Prepare, package, label, and organize completed print jobs for the next stage of production.
• Monitor workflow and production schedules to ensure jobs are completed on time.
• Communicate workflow challenges, equipment issues, material shortages, and potential production delays proactively to management.
• Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Follow all company quality control procedures, manufacturing standards, and safety requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience managing print operations, production operations, or a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of format printing and production workflows.
• Experience operating printing equipment and adjusting machine settings.
• Strong understanding of print quality standards, file preparation, and production processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet production deadlines
