Position Summary:

We are looking for a senior HR leader who can own both ends of the HR mandate: serving as a trusted strategic partner to a global commercial leadership team and building the talent engine that keeps that team winning across borders.

This role leads the HR agenda for Global Diagnostics, a commercial organization of approximately 1,100 colleagues across the U.S. and international markets. The business is in active growth mode, integrating acquisitions and scaling a global go-to-market model, so talent and organization decisions must work across geographies.

You will sit on the extended Global Diagnostics leadership team, lead a small team of HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and report to the VP HR, US Commercial and Global Diagnostics. You will own the full people agenda for your client group, made more complex by time zones, local labor law, and cultural nuances across global markets.

Position Responsibilities:

As the senior HRBP for Global Diagnostics, you will be accountable for the full arc of the people agenda across U.S. and international markets.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Global Diagnostics leadership team on organization design, workforce strategy, and talent decisions across all markets.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HRBPs supporting both U.S. and international colleague populations.
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, compensation strategy, performance management, and employee relations, adapting your approach to local market norms and employment law.
  • Own succession planning for the global Diagnostics leadership bench. Build ready-now and ready-soon pipelines for critical roles across geographies and actively reduce succession risk.
  • Facilitate annual and mid-year talent calibration sessions across multiple countries and time zones, and drive individual development plans for high-growth and critical talent from design through follow-through.
  • Design and lead proactive retention strategies for high performers and critical roles across markets, including stay interviews and targeted interventions.
  • Partner on M&A and BD integration talent work, including leadership continuity planning, culture integration, and post-deal talent mapping across newly acquired international entities.
  • Lead organization design work during restructures, integrations, and go-to-market changes, ensuring structure and governance work across multiple legal entities and markets.
  • Diagnose team and organizational health across geographies, and design culture interventions where engagement gaps surface.
  • Coach senior leaders on performance differentiation, accountability, feedback quality, and retention-linked decisions, with sensitivity to cross-cultural management norms.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policy and compliance with employment law across all markets, partnering closely with Legal and local HR on multi-country requirements.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and Zoetis Colleague Services to execute global programs effectively, adapting them to local market needs where required.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred).
  • Master's degree, MBA, or advanced certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, GPHR, or equivalent) is a strong plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally as needed.

Technical Skills Requirements:

Required

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with substantial time owning both HRBP and talent management accountability for a large, complex client group.
  • Experience leading and developing other HR professionals, ideally in a player-coach or people-manager capacity.
  • Proven track record designing and facilitating succession planning, talent calibration, or pipeline-building processes for a geographically distributed population.
  • Experience operating in a global or multi-country organization, including working across time zones and navigating varying employment law and cultural norms.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and influence senior and executive leaders, including comfort pushing back when the data or the moment calls for it.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to read workforce data, spot trends, and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, matrixed, global environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with M&A, BD integration, or post-acquisition people workstreams, particularly across international entities.
  • Background in learning and development, leadership assessment, or capability-building program design.
  • Direct experience supporting commercial, sales, or marketing-facing organizations.
  • Prior exposure to works councils, international mobility, or multi-country compliance frameworks.
  • Workday proficiency.
  • Experience in life sciences, animal health, or another regulated, field-intensive industry.
