Original job description
Lead Front Desk / Assistant Studio Manager
Growing Boutique Fitness Studio | Sudbury, MA | Part-Time or Full-Time | Pay: TBD
Love people, love sales, and ready for your next step in leadership? We're looking for someone who can create an exceptional front desk experience while helping grow a thriving fitness community. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven self-starter who wants to develop their skills and earn greater responsibility over time.
You'll be a welcoming face of the studio, a strong partner to the Studio Manager, and a driving force behind thoughtful follow-up, membership sales, and local connection. We believe great sales start with listening, understanding, and genuinely caring about people.
What You’ll Own
- Member & Guest Experience: Welcome every guest, build meaningful connections, answer questions, and help every person feel valued.
- Sales & Follow-Up: Connect with prospective members, book visits, explain membership options, follow up consistently, and contribute to sales goals.
- Community Growth: Support local outreach, grassroots partnerships, events, referrals, and other opportunities to introduce new people to the studio.
- Front Desk Leadership: Model great service, support daily priorities, help train teammates, and assist with shift coverage and clear handoffs.
- Studio Operations: Help keep the studio clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready; support scheduling, administrative tasks, and accurate studio records.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, share ideas, identify opportunities to improve, and help create a culture of accountability and encouragement.
Who Will Thrive Here
- You genuinely enjoy helping people and believe fitness can make a difference in their lives.
- You are comfortable starting conversations, asking thoughtful questions, and inviting people to take the next step.
- You take initiative, follow through, stay organized, and care about the details.
- You bring positive energy, humility, and a sense of humor to a team environment.
- You want coaching, feedback, and continued opportunities to grow into leadership.
Experience & Qualifications
At least 1 year of sales experience required. Fitness, wellness, hospitality, or membership sales experience is a plus. Strong communication, customer service, basic computer skills, and the ability to manage follow-up and competing priorities are essential. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Opportunity to Grow
This isn't just a front desk position for someone who wants to stay in one place. You'll gain hands-on experience in sales, community marketing, member retention, team support, and studio operations, with the opportunity to take on broader management responsibilities as your skills and performance develop. Growth is earned through initiative, results, and readiness - not promised on a timeline.
Schedule & Benefits
Part-time and full-time opportunities available. Flexible scheduling based on studio needs, including some evenings and weekends. Benefits include employee discounts and flexible scheduling. Compensation: TBD, based on role scope and experience.
Sound Like You?
If you love creating great experiences, want to make an impact through sales and service, and are excited to grow with a boutique fitness business, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us what you bring to the team - and what you'd love to learn next.
