Production Line Lead

The Production Line Lead is responsible for ensuring that parts on the line are assembled in a safe manner, making sure orders are fulfilled, and keeping the Shipping department supplied with parts. The Line Lead is expected to oversee the assembly of parts that are within quality and efficiency expectations, while working with the team and maintaining safety.

Duties and responsibilities

• Identify and address safety issues
• Work with quality to identify, address and prevent quality issues
• Maintain an efficient process, working with team members to improve efficiency
• Bring up and help implement ideas for improvement
• Maintain a clean work area
• Run according to the schedule
• Work with the Production Manager to ensure schedule is achieved
• Assist in creating standard work instructions
• Participate/Lead daily production meetings
• Complete material, and part inventories
• Make sure orders are fulfilled
• Train team members using standard work
• Provide feedback to the Production Manger about team members for annual reviews
• Complete line and department audits for safety, quality and efficiency
• Troubleshoot issues on the line
• Perform Preventative Maintenance as scheduled
• Assist other departments when requested
• Work on other tasks as assigned

Working conditions

The job is located at the YakAttack facility in Farmville, Virginia. The Production Line Lead is expected to work weekdays during regular manufacturing hours, with overtime as required, based on shift.
