Software Engineer

Experience in designing and developing scalable distributed systems, including backend services for data ingestion and processing applications required.

Develop and maintain backend software applications and microservices for data ingestion and processing systems. Implement data ingestion pipelines for various platforms to support collection and transmission of device data. Develop integrations with cloud-based platforms to ingest and process streaming data. Build and extend support for diverse sensor types (e.g., RFID readers, GPS trackers, and environmental sensors) by implementing device interfaces, data parsers, and normalization logic. Design data models and storage solutions for time-series and event-driven data, ensuring efficient querying, indexing, and long-term scalability. Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance tests, including validation of sensor data accuracy, pipeline resilience, and fault tolerance across distributed edge environments. Modify backend applications and processing workflows to meet business and customer requirements. Enhance application performance and system functionality for backend processing services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with frontend applications, edge devices, and third-party systems using APIs. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to data ingestion, device connectivity, and system performance. Prepare and maintain technical documentation for backend systems.
