Youth Development Specialist (QMHA)

Required: * Bachelor\'s degree in behavioral science field; OR a combination of at least 3 years of relevant work, education, training, or experience * Valid driver\'s license, and insurable driving record to drive company vehicles * QMHA certification must be maintained for the duration of employment Summary: As a Youth Development specialist, you will be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to supporting youth in their journey toward emotional growth and skill development. In this role, you will help youth build life skills like anger management, self-regulation, social interaction, and ensuring their well-being and safety throughout the night. Duties Include: * Monitor and ensure the safety of youth during all hours * Engage with youth as needed, offering therapeutic support and guidance in areas such as stress management and self-regulation, particularly for those who may experience day/nighttime anxiety or behavioral issues * Be prepared to respond to any crisis situations that may arise during your shift, employing de-escalation techniques and following non-violent physical intervention protocols when necessary * Assist with routine tasks, including meal preparation for the next shift, light housekeeping and preparation for the next day\'s activities * Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of youth behaviors, interventions, and any incidents that occur overnight to ensure seamless communication with the daytime team * Administer medications as needed during the shift and ensure all medication logs are maintained accurately Hours - 2 Shifts Available: Day Shift: 8:00am - 8:30pm * Schedule: Friday - Sunday * Thursday shift required every other Thursday OR * Schedule: Sunday - Tuesday * Wednesday shift required every other Wednesday Over Night Shift: 8:00pm - 8:30am * Schedule: Sunday - Tuesday * Wednesday shift required every other Wednesday OR * Schedule: Thursday - Saturday * Wednesday shift required every other Wednesday
