Position Temporary in Baker City, Permanent in Ontario, OR* REQUIREMENTS: * Two years of work experience installing and repairing meters. * Lift, carry, pull, and push items that can weigh as much as 100 pounds. * Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program for a Journeyman Meterman, which includes a minimum of two years installing and repairing meters. * IBEW Journeyman Meterman status required before hire date. * Union membership is required within 30 days after hire date as a condition of continued employment. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Possess and maintain a valid state driver\'s license. JOB DUTIES: * Install and remove meters, CT cabinets, meter base and other equipment. * Test meters by ANSI and OTEC standards using computer driven calibration equipment. * Perform testing of metering installations. * Assemble, install and maintain metering equipment. * Edit meter programming software as instructed. * Thoroughly clean, repair and program OTEC meters as needed. * Test, service, maintain and calibrate all meters, instruments, transformers and metering equipment. * Install, maintain, operate, and repair metering equipment such as electronic kWh meters, electronic demand meters, electronic recording meters, potential transformers, and current transformers. * Maintain TWACS meter and substation equipment. * Other duties as assigned and as qualified to perform. * Participation in cooperative strategy and initiatives.
