NW Industrial Staffing is currently seeking a Machine Press Operator for a family-owned company in Springfield that specializes in manufacturing fittings and accessories for the construction and building materials industry. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity for an individual interested in entering the manufacturing industry. What we are seeking: 1+ year of continuous work experience in a manufacturing setting, experience preferred. Previous experience calibrating and troubleshooting a variety of stamping machines and presses. Great math and measurement skills ability to work with manual tools, including micrometers. To perform some quality control duties to make sure parts are meeting precise specifications. Show ability to reach and comprehend blueprints and schematics. To focus on tasks for long periods of time. A keen eye for detail to see if finished parts look appropriate. To stand, stoop, bend, push, and pull for an 8-hour shift. To lift 50 lbs. to put metal coils onto the machine. Teamwork and great communication skills are required. To practice safety and be a conscientious worker by observing the machine to make sure it is operating smoothly. To keep the work environment neat.
