Original job description
Relocation to the United States - Norfolk, Virginia. We provide the NATO-5 visa for you and your family. This post is a full employment contract with our delivery partner, with the benefits that go with it - not a contractor or B2B arrangement. Agreeing to be employed is the first condition of the role. A multinational defence organisation is building technology advantage into a defined, managed enabler rather than an aspiration. This role produces the documents, the plan and the engagement that make it real. What you would be doing
- Identifying new emerging technologies and cataloguing the existing ones.
- Producing the deliverables that develop the technology advantage enabler.
- Analysing how it supports each named line of development.
- Updating the vision documents so there is one shared understanding of it.
- Preparing the first draft of the action plan.
- Supporting the definition of initial and full operating capability.
- Building the community of interest and the stakeholder engagement around it.
- Reporting to the project manager and sponsor on progress against the action plan.
What you would bring
- A bachelor degree from a recognised university in computer science, information and communication technology, engineering or a related discipline.
- At least two years acquiring, assembling and interpreting research and technology information.
- Knowledge of national science and technology sources.
- Experience judging how future technology applies in a military environment.
- The ability to work analytically on technology documentation and build practical adoption examples.
- Comfortable with office tooling and open-source research.
- Fluent professional English.
This is a long engagement that renews year on year, not a short project.
