  • Direct daily production activities to ensure schedules, performance targets, and operational objectives are achieved.
  • Drive accountability for food safety, employee safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with maintenance, quality, and plant leadership teams to identify and resolve operational challenges that impact production performance.
  • Utilize root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies to identify issues, remove barriers, and improve operational results.
  • Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, efficiency, reliability, and employee engagement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and take appropriate action to drive performance against established goals.
  • Support employee development through coaching, training, performance management, and succession planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, sanitation requirements, allergen controls, and company policies.
  • Maintain effective communication across shifts and functional teams to ensure smooth plant operations and alignment on priorities.
  • Support changeovers, process improvements, and operational projects within the assigned processing area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively function within a union environment while fostering positive employee relations.

Preferred:

  • Experience within food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, or other highly automated manufacturing environments.

  • This role requires strong leadership, urgency, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality, employee engagement, and operational performance are critical.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • This position is scheduled for 45 hours per week, working 9-hour shifts.
  • This role primarily aligned to the 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning).
  • Candidates must also be available to work rotating weekend shifts and provide additional support as needed to ensure continuity of plant operations.
