Armed Security Agent - Security - PRN

The security department exists to insure a safe and secure environment for all employees, patients and visitors and to secure those properties belonging to Williamson Medical Center. Our duties include security response, non-violent intervention public relations and awareness, visibility and traffic control. Our purpose is to respond to requests for assistance, report unsafe conditions and to provide necessary services to insure a safe and secure atmosphere at Williamson Medical Center and the properties we service. Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and current Tennessee law enforcement certification.
• Active Law Enforcement Officer
• Valid Tennessee driver's license; must be insurable.
• Tennessee certified active law enforcement officer non-probationary (P.O.S.T Certified)
• Hospital proper and grounds.
• Walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Climb stairs in a timely manner (i.e. basement to penthouse in 2.5-minutes or less).
• Handle potential violent interventions

Key Results

• Monitors 6404 and 6401 patients in the ED Flex pod.
• Completes hospital internal rounds of the ED in accordance with policy manual in a timely, thorough and professional manner.
• Responds to calls for assistance with Youth 6404 and 6401 patients in the CH ED.
• Knowledge of hospital areas (able to locate all key hospital areas).
• Reinforce hospital policies through observation and reporting procedures.
• Monitors and maintains high visibility in areas of responsibility to maintain order.
• Maintains positive working relationship with security guards and nursing staff.
• Observe and report safety or fire hazards in all areas of responsibility.
• Makes physical arrest when necessary and forwards reports to director in a timely manner.
• Provides visitors, patients and hospital personal directional and informational guidance in a professional and courteous manner.
• Monitors security's radios at all times to assure an appropriate physical response.
