This is a long-term sub position in the Middle School. Hours are 7:25am - 2:55pm, Monday - Friday. Start ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Working with individual pupils or groups of pupils on special instructional projects as defined by classroom teachers.
- Providing the teacher with information about pupils, which will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning experiences.
- Assisting pupils in the use of available instructional resources, and assisting in the development of instructional materials.
- Participating in in-service training programs as assigned.
- Maintaining the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully certified teachers.
- Assisting in related instructional work and evaluation as required by teachers.
- Planning lesson and units in conjunction with the classroom teachers.
- Assist with educational support and classroom transitions of identified special education students.
- Offer behavioral support to identified students when disruptions occur.
- Assist monitoring the identified students in the cafeteria on a regular/as needed basis.
- Carrying out any other assigned duties deemed appropriate by the Administration and the Board of Education.
