CST Assembly

Reports To Team Manager

Summary The CST Assembly position is required to perform tasks involving physical labour, operating a variety of hand and power tools. Responsibilities include the assembly of products using bolts, screws, clips, soldering tools, and assorted fasteners or use of hand grinders and scrapers. This position is responsible for the efficient completion of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies.

Job Duties

• Read blueprints and other technical diagrams
• Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment such as hand grinders and scrapers
• Operate overhead crane
• Clean and prepare the worksite
• Use of hand tools and safety equipment
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Requirements

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, preferred
• Ability to accurately follow product assembly instructions
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
• Knowledge about electrical wiring and hydraulics, an asset
• Crane and Forklift certifications
• Aerial Lift/Scissor Lift certification

Working Conditions

• Very hot or very cold environment
• Lifting, pushing and pulling heavy/odd size parts up to 50 lbs.
• Lifting overhead, twisting and bending while lifting overhead, twisting and bending while lifting, climbing ladders and stairs while wearing protective equipment and working in confined spaces including repetitive arm motion below, at and above shoulder level
