Corrections Facility Coordinator 1

Nature of Work Under the general direction of the ASA II, the role of the Corrections Facility Coordinator 1 is to oversee resident laundry services, resident work detail, kitchen oversight and coordinate custodial duties and central receiving. Monitors all areas to ensure the daily operations run on a timely, set schedule as set by administration. This position will be required to obtain a food handlers card once hired for this position. The Corrections Facility Coordinator 1 position will be responsible for the ordering of supplies and food products, ensuring food inventory items arrive as ordered. Will also be responsible for inventory in the areas of the kitchen and laundry. The CFC 1 position will ensure the facility meal schedule is adhered to as set by administration. Serves in a lead worker capacity to ensure food is prepared and snacks are provided accordingly. Controlling and tracking inventory for the laundry and kitchen unit. When necessary, will perform the duties of a cook to cover shifts or breaks, as to ensure that the facility meal plan is adhered to. Ensure proper training and guidance is provided for subordinate employees.

Minimum Qualifications Training: Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the area of assignment, one year of which must have been in a lead worker capacity.Substitution: Coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of experience.
