Original job description

About West Pak At West Pak, everything starts with the customer. We’re obsessed with getting the right fruit, at the right ripeness, to the right place, every time, and that focus shapes how we work every day. Our culture is dynamic. Volumes shift with the seasons, customer needs change fast, and our teams move quickly to meet them. We value people who take ownership, solve problems in real time, and aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. We work as one team across departments and sites, and we hold ourselves to high standards because our customers count on us. Respect, integrity, and a commitment to excellence guide how we treat our growers, our customers, and each other. We invest in our people through leadership development and learning programs, and we make time to celebrate our wins together. The Role Our bagging and value-added team turns fresh avocados into customer-ready products, including bagged fruit, custom packs, and special labeling programs. As Production Bagging Supervisor, you’ll lead that team on the floor. You’ll make sure every run is safe, efficient, and built exactly to the customer’s specifications. What You’ll Do

  • Team leadership: Lead, train, and coach bagging and value-added production staff, including temporary associates.
  • Production: Run daily bagging schedules with the VAS Coordinator and Shipping, adjusting quickly as orders and volumes change.
  • Customer specs: Verify bag counts, labels, PLUs, and pack styles on every run before product ships.
  • Productivity: Track output, labor, and yields, and find ways to reduce waste and downtime.
  • Quality and food safety: Partner with Quality to resolve issues, and enforce GMPs and food safety procedures on the line.
  • Safety and equipment: Keep the floor safe and organized, and coordinate with Maintenance on bagging equipment performance.

What You Bring

  • 2–3 years of supervisory or lead experience in food production, packing, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with bagging or packing equipment a plus; fresh produce experience a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with production data and Microsoft Excel.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Availability for early mornings, overtime, and weekends as volumes require.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.

What We Offer

  • 401(k): Safe Harbor plan with a 100% match on the first 3% you contribute and 50% on the next 2%, fully vested.
  • Medical, dental, and vision: Medical plan choices that include PPO options, with West Pak paying 85% of employee premiums on the standard PPO.
  • Life and disability: Company-paid Basic Life, AD&D, and short- and long-term disability.
  • Other benefits: Flexible Spending Account, paid time off, and voluntary life, pet, and legal insurance.

West Pak Avocado is an equal opportunity employer.

Day Shift Monday through Friday with flexibility for overtime weekdays and Saturdays
