Job Description

Join a team where people matter as much as the work. At Webco, we believe our people are our strength - and that starts with making sure every paycheck is accurate, timely, and handled with care. We’re looking for a detail-driven Payroll Coordinator to keep our Carbon Division running smoothly behind the scenes. What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll be a trusted partner to employees and leaders, ensuring that payroll and HR processes are seamless, accurate, and confidential. A typical week might include:

  • Owning payroll operations – maintaining weekly and biweekly payroll, processing changes for new hires, transfers, terminations, and leaves of absence.
  • Making it right for employees – explaining paychecks, solving payroll challenges, and providing top-notch customer service.
  • Handling pay deductions – calculating and posting taxes, benefits, and voluntary deductions.
  • Keeping records straight – maintaining confidential files, completing employment verifications, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Partnering with supervisors – communicating payroll updates, reports, and audits to keep everything accurate and on track.
  • Supporting HR projects – assisting with special projects and lending administrative support across the department.

What You Bring We’re looking for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting people through accuracy and service. Success in this role requires:

  • A high level of motivation, flexibility, and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong ability to multi-task while keeping attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills - able to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interact with employees and supervisors.
  • The ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Absolute commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
  • Comfort using a variety of office tools (fax, copier, email, calendar systems).

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration (or related field) preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience processing payroll required.
  • Experience with Workday software is a plus.
  • Background in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Be part of a people-first culture where your work directly impacts every employee’s experience.
  • Gain valuable exposure to both payroll and HR - a great foundation for career growth in Human Resources.
  • Work in a supportive team environment where your input is valued and your contributions are recognized.
