HVAC Repair Support

The Wayne County School System is looking for a highly qualified HVAC repair person with a diverse background of skills working on a multitude of different air conditioner units. Salary: $75,000 a year Contract Days: 255 days

Job Description:

As the HVAC technician, you will perform maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning and efficiency, such as filter replacement, troubleshooting and replacing fan motors, and more while performing routine jobs. The ideal candidate should demonstrate an ability to understand the principles of air distribution, understand components and what function they serve, and electrical components and control systems. Technical Skills: Knowledge of HVAC systems, including residential and commercial applications, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Mechanical and Electrical Skills: Understanding of HVAC components, including pumps, compressors, motors, and controls, and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve problems with HVAC systems, including those that are not immediately apparent. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers. Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide excellent customer service, including being helpful, friendly, and professional. Physical Stamina: Ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and potentially uncomfortable temperatures. Dependability and Reliability: Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently. High School Diploma or GED: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is needed for traveling to job sites. Experience: Experience in HVAC work is required. HVAC Class 1 and Class II are required.
