We establish design standards and develop asset and capital investment strategies to optimize equipment performance and lifecycle management. By setting maintenance approaches, we enhance reliability, uptime, and total cost of ownership. Collaborating closely with operations and service providers, the team addresses complex challenges through root-cause analysis and implements scalable best practices. This role requires expertise in business strategies, strategic prioritization, leadership, change management, and cross-functional team coordination to drive sustained operational excellence.

What you'll do...

About the Team: The Walmart Facility Services team is composed of over 5,000 associates and numerous contractors working to develop and execute a world-class, data-driven asset management strategy. Our mission is to optimize uptime and total cost of ownership for Walmart’s assets across 5,000+ stores, clubs, distribution centers, and fulfillment centers. Walmart’s Facility Services team is growing its responsibility and footprint to achieve its vision of becoming the world's most reliable and sustainable facility services platform - supporting our customers, members, associates, and communities in which we operate. • Monitor emerging regulations, company initiatives, and business needs, translating requirements into scalable processes, technology capabilities, and operational programs.
  • Lead the development and integration of business systems, partnering with software developers, product owners, and technology teams to improve data quality, reporting, workflows, and application capabilities.
  • Analyze data from multiple systems to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps, and develop actionable recommendations that improve compliance, reduce costs, and enhance asset performance.
  • Drive cross-functional programs and change initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring strategic opportunities are translated into measurable business outcomes.
  • Influence and align stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Technology, Finance, Compliance, Sustainability, and Facility Services to execute strategic priorities and deliver enterprise value.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Operations, or a related field.
  • Experience in asset management, program management, business strategy, process improvement, compliance, or technology implementation.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC/R systems, facility operations, and applicable regulations, or demonstrated ability and willingness to rapidly develop technical expertise.
  • Experience working with software developers, application owners, product managers, data teams, and technology organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire, manipulate, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to identify business opportunities and support decision making.
  • Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, analytics, forecasts, and executive-level reporting.
  • Proven ability to translate analytical findings into business strategies, process improvements, technology enhancements, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Strong program management, stakeholder management, communication, and change leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive adoption and deliver measurable results.

Belonging at Walmart

We aim to create a culture where every associate feels valued for who they are, rooted in respect for the individual. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging, to create opportunities for all our associates, customers and suppliers, and to be a Walmart for everyone.

At Walmart, our vision is "everyone included." By fostering a workplace culture where everyone is - and feels - included, everyone wins. Approximately 90% of the U.S. population lives within 10 miles of a Walmart or Sam’s Club – our associates and customers reflect the makeup of all of America, as well as the 18 other countries where we operate. By making Walmart a welcoming place where all people feel like they belong, we’re able to engage associates, strengthen our business, improve our ability to serve customers, and support the communities where we operate.

Belonging: We aim to create a culture where every associate feels valued for who they are, rooted in respect for the individual.

Associates: We want to ensure our associates worldwide are seen for their unique contributions, supported in their daily work, and connected to co-workers.

  • Walmart is the U.S.’ largest private employer.
  • Our policies, practices, and programs promote fairness and the same treatment for all associates. Everyone in our workforce has the same access to opportunities for growth, development, and advancement.
  • We transparently report on our workforce twice a year and we have associate resource groups to further engagement, networking, connection and a sense of community.

Business & Customers: We provide an assortment of products and services that meet the unique needs of our customers and members while strengthening our connection to the communities we serve.

  • We operate sensory friendly hours in all stores from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. daily and offer Caroline's Carts - a specially designed shopping cart for children and adults with disabilities.
  • Our focus every day is how we can best serve our customers with quality food and goods at everyday low prices, which are 10-25% lower than those of competitors.

Communities: Walmart thrives when we take a shared value approach, complementing business with philanthropy to strengthen the communities where we operate and prioritize issues that are meaningful to our business and all customers.

  • Walmart is one of the most charitable companies in the Fortune 500. Last year we gave away over 8% profits through a combination of in-kind and cash gifts totaling more than $1.7 billion.
