Dirt Crew

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Dirt Crew Laborer to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to earthmoving and site preparation, including excavation, grading, and backfilling. The ideal candidate will have experience working with dirt-moving equipment and a strong understanding of job site safety.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties for the Dirt Crew include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling operations

• Operate or assist with the operation of heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, and compactors (if qualified)

• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and tampers to move and compact soil

• Set up and maintain erosion control measures as required

• Assist with loading and unloading materials

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

• Follow safety protocols and report hazards or equipment issues to supervisors

• Work closely with operators, foremen, and other crew members to complete daily tasks

Qualifications

• Experience in dirt work, excavation, or general construction preferred
• Familiarity with construction tools and equipment
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 75 pounds
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Valid driver’s license may be required, depending on job location and responsibilities
