Volt is immediately hiring for an IT Shipping Clerk in San Diego, CA.

As an IT Shipping Clerk, you will:

• Prepare and package laptops, monitors, peripherals, and other IT equipment for shipment.
• Create shipping labels and coordinate deliveries through UPS, FedEx, and other carriers.
• Receive, verify, and process incoming and returned IT equipment.
• Track shipments and resolve delayed, lost, or damaged deliveries.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, inventory, and asset records.
• Match equipment to ServiceNow requests, onboarding, hardware refreshes, and IT work orders.
• Coordinate with Desktop Support to ensure equipment is ready for deployment.
• Support equipment shipments for new hires, remote employees, replacements, and refreshes.
• Assist with inventory counts, asset reconciliation, and equipment audits.
• Maintain an organized shipping, receiving, and equipment staging area.
• Report inventory shortages or discrepancies and communicate shipment updates.
• Follow established procedures for IT asset handling and chain of custody.

This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity!

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am/8am to 4pm/5pm

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, logistics, warehouse operations, or IT asset management preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
• ServiceNow or similar ticketing/asset management experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, or similar shipping systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to accurately manage asset tags, serial numbers, tracking numbers, and shipping records.
• Ability to safely lift and move IT equipment and shipping boxes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
