About the Job.

Position Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Department: Warehouse

Employment Status: Full-time

Classification: Supervisor

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reports to: Warehouse Manager
  • Positions Supervised: Warehouse Operators

Why This Job is Important. The Warehouse Supervisor is a leadership position that supports the Warehouse Manager and supervises a hard-working team of warehouse operators who make wipes for our customers. This important position oversees the operations on the warehouse operations to ensure it runs seamlessly every day so that our customers’ shelves stay full – and so their customers can buy the wipes they need for their baby, teenager, significant other or parent (or even their pet!) when they need to. It's a big deal.

Our best Warehouse Supervisors are masters of juggling many things at once and have knowledge of manufacturing and warehouse management basics like quality (cGMP) standards, waste reduction, continuous improvement, warehouse management, shipping, receiving, inventory management and productivity and operational efficiencies. We also prefer that each supervisor has experience in leading and supervising others.

We expect our supervisors to be professional, results-oriented, highly engaged in the business, and be able to engage within their teams.

About You

What You Can Expect. As a warehouse supervisor, you would be responsible for directing the daily activities of all associates to maintain adherence to shipping and receiving load schedules. You would have a team of warehouse operators to assist you and count on you for daily leadership. You also would work closely and partner with cross-functional leaders from the Quality, Safety, Customer Service, Production and Transportation departments.

Priorities are keeping employees safe and customers happy. It is critical that our Warehouse Supervisors are always anticipating and, when possible, preventing unnecessary costs attributing to detention or container charges, meeting raw material request schedules to the production facility, and ensuring the right products are shipped to internal and external customers with the best quality and accuracy in the industry.

Reports, spreadsheets, emails, presentations, timekeeping, payroll, and meetings. All things that might not be much fun sometimes but have to get done. The Warehouse Supervisor communicates to leadership through data using various shift reports to detail the successes and challenges the production team is experiencing. We expect all of our supervisors to anticipate challenges and solve problems creatively.

The non-negotiable things.

  • No shortcuts are allowed. We expect you to support our culture of excellence, safety and integrity, and teamwork and hold others accountable for it.
  • The law. Nice-Pak adheres to all local, state, and federal laws, and we expect every associate to do the same.
  • You will work with many people, so you must be able to communicate respectfully, professionally, and purposefully both in writing and verbally.
  • You must be able to read, write, and understand basic math principles, solve problems, and be resourceful on a computer, including Microsoft Office.
  • You must be committed to caring for our people – co-workers and customers. This means being a good listener, conducting yourself ethically, providing feedback respectfully, and being honest and fair.

This is what you can count on from us:

  • We will provide a safe work environment.
  • Working conditions free from unusual hazards or otherwise significantly unpleasant conditions – it usually smells amazing on the production floor!
  • We want you to succeed and will invest in you and your career.
  • You can count on us to encourage diversity, equity, and an atmosphere of inclusion
  • Great benefits including 401(k) match, medical and dental coverage.
  • Excellent pay, based on experience. The range for this position in the Indiana market is $65k – $80k, with additional bonus opportunities.

We hire the most qualified individuals and do not tolerate discriminatory behavior. We adhere to ADA standards and will review reasonable accommodations to support our employees. Pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, may be conducted as allowed by law.

  • You must be a champion of Nice-Pak; we protect our people, products, and customers.
  • We expect you will always want to learn and grow and help others become better too. Continuous improvement and development are the name of the game.
  • A high school education or equivalent and 3-5 years warehouse leadership experience OR a bachelor’s degree in management (or another closely related field) with relevant experience.
  • We need you to be able to follow directions, work independently, and determine when it's the right time to do which one.

With over 760,000 square feet of combined warehouse space, our warehouse supervisors must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. On other days, there are meetings and desk work, which requires being able to sit for long periods of time. Sometimes, they may need to stretch, bend, squat, climb, or lift up to 25 pounds to complete a task. It also smells amazing on our production floor.
