The position coordinates with network engineering, cybersecurity, acquisition, finance, logistics, contracting, 61 CS, and site leads to deliver mission-critical capabilities within established scope, schedule, budget, operational, and Special Access Program (SAP) security constraints.

Working under the direction of the IT Project Manager or designated military lead, the Assistant IT Project Manager provides delegated project-management support throughout the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closeout. • Develops and coordinates communications plans and approval packages for Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), synchronizing with the Office of Special Investigations (OSI), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Aerospace, and facility security stakeholders to ensure projects involving Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) modifications meet critical security requirements.
  • Prepares and coordinates acquisition and funding documentation, including CIPS requests, market research, independent government estimates, procurement directives, and supporting contract packages.
  • Supports financial planning, forecasting, budget execution, and prioritization of IT infrastructure requirements.
  • Maintains end-to-end project oversight by tracking schedules, milestones, funding status, procurement packages, vendor lead times, deliveries, licenses, warranties, asset handoffs, and site-readiness requirements.
  • Ensures project artifacts and communications are handled, stored, and disseminated through approved channels in accordance with applicable access, need-to-know, handling, records-management, configuration-management, and release procedures.
  • Prepares project status reports, executive dashboards, risk updates, and decision briefings for project leadership and senior stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and SAP eligibility required.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology, project management, computer science, business, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience supporting IT projects, project management, or project operations.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, network modernization, software, hardware, and lifecycle-management projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, procurements, risks, dependencies, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience working in a Department of War or comparable secure environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or CompTIA Project+ certification preferred.
  • CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of secure network environments in classified domains.
