We offer a competitive salary and full benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life, 401(k) savings plan, and more. Virtuoso is an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to promoting a diverse workforce.
Pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
The Vice President, Content & Creative orchestrates all content and creative for Virtuoso: one voice and one visual identity, expressed across every channel. Reporting to the SVP, Global Marketing, the VP sets the content and creative strategy, master narrative, editorial calendar and visual direction, then leads the channel teams that adapt that voice for each medium: long-form storytelling in print, short-form in social, interactive in web and digital, and visual and motion through Creative Services. The VP holds final sign-off on all content and creative, including Virtuoso The Magazine, and partners with Brand & Collaborations and Integrated Marketing to deliver as one.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Content & Creative Strategy and Voice:
- Sets the global content and creative strategy, master narrative and annual content calendar, aligned with the brand strategy set by Brand & Collaborations and the audience-led calendar set by Integrated Marketing.
- Owns Virtuoso's editorial voice and visual direction, and defines how that voice is adapted by medium: long-form for print, short-form for social, interactive for website and digital, and visual and motion for video, events and campaigns.
- Holds final approval of all content and creative before release, including each edition and cover of Virtuoso The Magazine, website, social, video and campaign creative.
- Sets standards for organic and partner-funded (sponsored) content in every medium, so that sponsored print, web, social and video content meets the same editorial and brand bar.
- Leads Virtuoso's content approach for emerging channels and discovery, including GEO (generative engine optimization), AI-assisted content, podcasts, video platforms and newsletters.
- Team Leadership & Operations:
- Leads, develops and manages the channel leaders: the Director, Digital (Social & Emerging Media); the Director, Content (Website & Print); and the Sr. Director, Creative Services (including content design), plus the Sr. Manager, Digital (AI, GEO, New Media) (dotted line to the Director, Digital (Social & Emerging Media), setting goals, priorities and performance measures.
- Owns the Content & Creative budget and resource plan, including freelance, agency, photography and production spend, and allocates it across channels for greatest impact.
- Establishes intake, workflow, review and approval processes and tools, including Bynder and AI-assisted workflows, so the team delivers at scale without losing quality.
- Builds a culture of creative excellence, collaboration and accountability, and moves the team from creating everything to also equipping others, supplying the content and imagery behind Brand & Collaborations' templates and resources for the network.
- Business Impact & Collaboration:
- Partners with Integrated Marketing and partner-facing teams on partner-funded media, ensuring sponsored content across print, digital, social and video is delivered on time, with performance reporting from BI/Data & Analytics.
- Defines and reports content KPIs (reach, engagement, traffic, leads, partner-funded media delivery and magazine readership) to the SVP and S-Team.
- Works with Brand & Collaborations on co-branded content, and with Product and Professional Development on content for new products such as courses.
- Leads the evolution of Virtuoso The Magazine and other owned channels in line with Playbook decisions.
- Represents Virtuoso's content at network events and industry forums.
