Accompanist (part-time)

Viewpoint School is currently seeking a part-time Accompanist to work mainly with our Primary and Lower School Vocal Program. Ideally this individual will have a degree in collaborative piano or a strong background in accompanying. This person will work from 3:00 to 4:30 every Tuesday and Thursday to accompany the Primary and Lower School Choruses. This individual will also be the accompanist for the Primary and Lower School class plays. Rehearsals and performances are during the school day scheduled throughout the school year. Occasionally there will be other accompanying opportunities throughout the school year. A precise schedule will be provided to the accompanist at least 2 weeks in advance. In addition to great piano skills, the accompanist will need to have the ability to work as a team member and be willing to step in and help with the children. Preference will be given to individuals who can also act as a substitute for the Primary and Lower School music teachers and the Middle/Upper School accompanist. Hours vary weekly, but will generally range from 3 to 12 hours per week. Compensation: is $50.00 per hour
