Safety Coordinator

Job Summary

Responsible for monitoring and evaluating daily operations and planning procedures to mitigate risks and improve safety regulations.

Essential Job Functions

• Implement and enforce safety policies and programs.
• Advise and lead employees on various safety related topics.
• Conduct 1st Aid and other safety-related training as needed.
• Assist with day-to-day Environmental, Health, & Safety processes and requirements.
• Facilitate safety audit inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analysis.
• Perform inspections such as fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, etc.
• Identify and communicate any possible safety gaps or hazards in the production facility.
• Monitor safety compliance throughout the organization.
• Assists in the preparation of reports on accidents, investigations, root causes and corrective action.
• Collaborate with Safety manager on developing facility and procedure/protocols in accordance with OSHA standards and regulations.
• Prepares reports on safety matrix, compliance, etc.
• Other duties required by management.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be team oriented to achieve a common goal.
• Must set and lead safety by example.
• Demonstrate ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.

Shift: 2nd (1:00pm - 11:30pm)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Equivalent (GED).
• 1 – 2 years in manufacturing.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to our company’s insurance policy.
• Must have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office applications) and other applicable safety programs.
• Must have strong analytical and decision-making skills.
