Job Description
Senior Electrical Test and Test Systems Engineer
Location: Delaware, Ohio (Onsite)
Function: Product Integrity / Test Engineering / Electrical Systems Validation
Position Summary
Vertiv is seeking a Senior Electrical Test and Test Systems Engineer to serve as the organization's primary technical authority for electrical measurement, power quality, advanced instrumentation, and complex UPS system analysis.
This role is significantly more than a traditional test engineering position. The successful candidate will function as the go-to expert for difficult electrical investigations, advanced metering applications, complex test setups, power quality analysis, and root-cause troubleshooting across the Product Integrity organization.
When test engineers encounter electrical problems that exceed standard troubleshooting methods, this individual will be the technical escalation resource responsible for developing measurement strategies, analyzing complex waveform behavior, diagnosing system interactions, and guiding engineering teams toward technically sound solutions.
The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in electrical power systems, metrology, instrumentation, power quality, and mission-critical UPS systems, while also leveraging modern software, automation, and AI tools to improve engineering productivity, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities.
