Original job description
Who We Are Vermillio believes humanity should thrive in the era of AI. That's why we're building essential guardrails for the generative internet - starting with TraceID, our AI protection and licensing technology. Vermillio is the leader in AI guardrails for protection and licensing. Vermillio brings together years of combined AI expertise, with its co-founders each building in AI for more than 15 years. The company is well funded and is already working with world-class IP from partners such as Sony and Talent Agency WME. Our technology creates a secure ethical environment for all builders, makers and creators. Our attribution technology ensures proper credit and compensation reach rightful owners, confirming that AI developers have consent and access to high quality ingredients. TraceID puts everyone in control of what they own, what they build with, and what they create. With our platform TraceID, talent and IP holders can take advantage of the benefits of Generative AI in a safe and secure environment while understanding where and how their valuable data is being used.
More about Vermillio Our TraceID platform monitors the internet for unauthorized use of protected IP (music, voices, likenesses, audiobooks and more), classifies what it finds, and turns it into licensing and enforcement intelligence for clients ranging from major labels and publishers to individual creators. The Analyst team sits at the center of that work. They turn raw, messy, high-volume data into accurate results clients can act on. Role summary The Analyst Lead owns how Vermillio finds, generates, and classifies data in TraceID, and leads the team that does it. You set the standards for data generation, content identification, and QA, and you make sure every result is classified correctly before it reaches a client. You partner closely with Customer Success and the Content Protection Manager, and you may support the delivery of results to clients. What you'll do Team leadership
- Manage, hire, train, and develop the Analyst team; set priorities and balance workload across client onboarding and ongoing monitoring
- Coach analysts on database reference logic or Boolean prompt building, data review, and classification standards
- Work hands-on in TraceID as needed, from onboarding to data review, and step in on the hardest cases
Data strategy and system design
- Own how we generate and source data: which sources, platforms, and signals we monitor for each client
- Define how TraceID pulls data, working with Product and Engineering on content identification methods , coverage gaps, and new sources
- Lead prompt and rule definition and content identification frameworks that scale across clients
Quality and accuracy
- Own the QA process end to end and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
- Define and track accuracy metrics (precision, recall, false-positive rates) and drive continuous improvement
- Document processes, standards, and playbooks so quality is repeatable as the team grows
Cross-functional partnership
- Work with Customer Success and the Content Protection Manager to ensure all client needs are being met
- Turn client feedback into better prompts, rules, and workflows
- Support delivery of results to clients, including walking them through findings, trends, and methodology
What you bring
- 4–7 years in data analysis, brand protection, trust and safety, social listening, or a related field, with at least 1–2 years leading people or projects
- Expert Boolean model prompting development skills, including designing prompting frameworks and classification rules at scale
- Deep experience with SaaS data or monitoring platforms and how they collect and process data
- Advanced spreadsheet skills, plus comfort working with large, unstructured data sets
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their metadata
- A track record of building QA processes and improving data accuracy
- Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external clients
Nice to have
- Background in music, publishing, entertainment, or IP and copyright enforcement
- Experience with multilingual monitoring or international content
- Familiarity with generative AI, deepfake detection, or content fingerprinting
- SQL, Python, or experience working closely with engineering on data pipelines
