CT Technician

Los Alamos, NM 87544 | Full-Time | Night Shift

Base Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 Signing Bonus: Yes

Schedule

• 5x8s or 4x10s
• Typical shifts: 11 PM–9 AM, 12 AM–8 AM, or 11 PM–7 AM
• Some schedule flexibility available

Position Overview The CT Technician performs CT and radiographic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with established standards. The role includes patient preparation, positioning, contrast administration within scope, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician orders.
• Explain procedures and prepare patients for imaging.
• Perform CT and radiographic examinations and ensure quality images.
• Administer contrast media/medications within scope when ordered.
• Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, safety standards, and quality control.
• Troubleshoot and report equipment issues.
• Review images, correct quality issues, and repeat scans when necessary.
• Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Imaging or related field.
• Current New Mexico Radiologic Technologist License.

• ARRT Radiography (R) and CT certifications/registries.

• Current BLS certification upon hire.
• Strong patient-care, communication, and technical skills.
