About Us

VENTURE.co is a SaaS company serving the alternative investments industry . Our platform helps private investment sponsors process subscriptions, onboard investors, and manage their offerings. Our subsidiary, VENTURE.co Fund Services (VCFS), is an SEC-registered transfer agent serving real estate, energy, and private credit sponsors.

We're a fully remote team with a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture, and we're looking for people who take pride in getting the details right.

Role Overview The Transfer Agent Associate runs the day-to-day processing behind our clients' offerings: subscriptions and closings, transfers, distributions, and routine investor and advisor inquiries. You'll prepare the work and our Senior Account Managers review and approve anything that moves cash. You'll also prepare the securityholder data behind our regulatory and tax filings. This is a hands-on execution role: you won't own client relationships, but you'll make sure every transaction is accurate, on time, and documented.

Key Responsibilities

Processing

  • Process subscriptions and closings, including review of subscription documents and follow-up on incomplete (NIGO) paperwork
  • Process transfers, redemptions, and account maintenance
  • Calculate and prepare distributions, including payment files and investor notices, for senior account manager approval
  • Load statements and K-1s, send investor communications, and maintain DTCC AIP records

Investor Services

  • Answer routine investor and financial advisor calls and emails within required turnaround times
  • Escalate complex or sensitive requests to the account manager for that client
  • Back up the account managers so every client always has coverage

Filings & Data

  • Collect, reconcile, and prepare securityholder data for regulatory and tax filings, including Form TA-2, 1099s, escheatment, and lost securityholder searches
  • Support data conversions when new clients move to us from a prior transfer agent
  • Keep securityholder records clean and audit-ready and flag exceptions

Operations

  • Log errors and turnaround times as you go
  • Write and maintain procedures and checklists for the work you do
  • Spot recurring manual work and help automate it on our platform
  • Use AI tools (Claude, Copilot) to speed up routine tasks

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2–4 years in transfer agent, fund administration, or securities operations
  • Hands-on experience with subscriptions, transfers, distributions, or investor servicing
  • Strong Excel skills: reconciliations, lookups, and large data files
  • Accurate with numbers and records, and checks your own work
  • Clear, professional communication with investors, advisors, and teammates
  • Can take direction and run with it; doesn't need close management once you know the process

Preferred:

  • Experience with private funds, REIT s, or other alternative investments
  • Exposure to transfer agent filings (Form T A-2, 1099s, escheatment)
  • Familiarity with SEC transfer agent rules (Rule 17Ad)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or a similar CRM
  • Comfortable with AI productivity tools

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 depending on experience
  • Remote-first flexibility (Dallas-Area or Eastern Time-Zone Preffered)
  • Comprehensive health and retirement benefits
