Technical Support and Project Specialist

The Technical Support and Project Specialist provides advanced technical support for IT infrastructure projects and serves as an escalation resource for complex technical issues that cannot be resolved by frontline support teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Complete server, cloud, virtualization, and network infrastructure project tasks.
• Evaluate client needs and technical requirements to scope appropriate solutions in support of project design and implementation.
• Diagnose complex IT infrastructure issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Serve as an escalation resource for cross-functional teams by evaluating advanced technical issues, determining appropriate action, and supporting timely resolution.
• Identify and effectively communicate technical risks, obstacles, or changes that may affect project requirements, schedules, or success.
• Work collaboratively and proactively with internal teams to exchange information, coordinate technical activities, and support successful project and issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of work performed.

A qualified candidate must have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical training in information technology, computer networking, systems administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of IT support experience; additional experience implementing IT infrastructure projects or resolving high-level technical issues preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
• Advanced knowledge of server, cloud, virtualization, and network infrastructure, including migrations and complex troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues and communicate risks effectively.
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• The ability to meet all requirements for working in Pennsylvania schools, including successful completion of required Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 background clearances following hire.
