- Develop and maintain application data access layers using Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and JDBC.
- Design and implement complex SQL queries, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and batch processing solutions.
- Optimize Oracle and relational database performance through efficient query design, database access patterns, and performance tuning.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable application architectures using object-oriented design principles and established software design patterns.
- Develop and support cloud-native applications and containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift.
- Design, develop, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs supporting enterprise applications and distributed systems.
- Develop automated unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure application reliability and quality.
- Participate in peer code reviews, architecture reviews, and technical design discussions.
- Utilize SonarQube and static code analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities, improve code quality, and maintain established development standards.
- Troubleshoot complex application issues using debugging techniques, application logs, and root cause analysis.
- Develop, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Git, and related development tools.
- Support application deployments, production releases, and post-deployment troubleshooting.
- Implement application monitoring, logging, and performance optimization practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify technical challenges, and translate business needs into effective software solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, implementation approaches, and technical decisions.
- Independently manage assigned development activities and maintain ownership of features from initial design through production deployment and ongoing support.
- Continuously evaluate existing applications and recommend improvements to performance, maintainability, scalability, reliability, and security.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience developing enterprise Java applications.
- Strong proficiency with Java 17 or later.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
- Strong understanding of Hibernate, Java Persistence API (JPA), entity relationships, lazy and eager loading, and transaction management.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining enterprise microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Strong JDBC development experience, including complex SQL queries, batch processing, and performance optimization.
- Experience administering or developing against Oracle or other enterprise relational databases.
- Experience designing and developing full-stack applications using modern front-end frameworks.
