Valor Health is looking for a Cook to join our close-knit Nutritional Services team in Emmett. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a kitchen but is looking for a change from the late nights and high-volume pace of a traditional restaurant.

What You\'ll Do

As a Cook, you\'ll help prepare fresh, quality meals for patients, employees, visitors and hospital meetings. Because we\'re a smaller team, everyone pitches in to keep Nutritional Services running smoothly.

Your day may include:

• Preparing and cooking meals
• Ensuring food meets standards for quality, freshness, taste and appearance
• Preparing patient trays, including meals for special dietary needs
• Assisting with cafeteria service and cashier duties
• Preparing coffee, tea, snacks and other food items
• Stocking and rotating food and supplies
• Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, dishes and work areas
• Helping teammates wherever needed

• Enjoys cooking and working with food
• Takes pride in preparing quality meals
• Understands the importance of food safety and cleanliness
• Is dependable and willing to pitch in as part of a small team
• Provides friendly, respectful service to patients, visitors and coworkers
• Is comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities throughout the day
• Can work scheduled rotations and help provide coverage for vacations or sick days as needed
