Substitute Teaching

Summary:

We are seeking a Substitute Teacher to join our team on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The Substitute Teacher will follow lesson plans and provide a positive learning environment for students.

Responsibilities:

• Teach lessons according to lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher
• Provide a positive and safe learning environment for students
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain classroom discipline
• Follow school policies and procedures
• Communicate with school administrators, teachers, and parents as needed
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress
• Participate in professional development opportunities as required

Requirements:

• State of Kansas Substitute or Emergency Substitute License required
• Experience working with children or youth
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline
• Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom settings and lesson plans
• Availability to work on short notice and on an as-needed basis
