Building Superintendent (Part-Time) VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic -- Marion, OH 20,648 RSF | U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Position Summary Serve as the owner's on-site representative responsible for day-to-day operation, maintenance, inspections, repairs, regulatory compliance, and emergency response. Maintain continuous operation of building systems and coordinate all work with property management and specialty contractors. Typical on-site commitment: 4--8 hours/week. Primary Responsibilities · Oversee building operations, routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs. · Maintain HVAC, BAS, electrical, plumbing, lighting, roof, structural, interior finishes, and site improvements through qualified vendors. · Coordinate emergency response, after-hours service, and communication with VA representatives. · Ensure compliance with lease requirements, manufacturer recommendations, OSHA, NFPA, IBC, life safety, and applicable codes. · Maintain maintenance logs, inspections, testing, warranties, permits, environmental records, and vendor documentation. · Assist with budgets, capital planning, reserve planning, utility management, and equipment replacement recommendations. Qualifications · 5--10 years managing commercial, healthcare, or institutional facilities. · Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, preventive maintenance, and contractor management. · Ability to read construction drawings and equipment manuals; proficient with CMMS and Microsoft Office. ·[]{times="" new="" roman",=""}
