Senior Tax Professional

Our client, a professional services firm, is seeking a Senior Tax Professional to join its growing team.

Location:

Oakland, CA. This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days/week in the office.

Job Description:

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of tax engagements, partner with business owners and individual clients, and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality client service. The position provides strong visibility across the organization, opportunities for professional growth, and exposure to a diverse range of tax matters.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax filings for business and individual clients.
• Conduct tax research and assist with planning initiatives and client advisory projects.
• Analyze tax-related issues and develop practical recommendations.
• Support client engagements by managing deliverables and maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and assist in developing less experienced professionals.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, deadlines, and planning opportunities.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of tax experience in a public accounting or professional services environment.
• Experience preparing and reviewing a variety of tax returns for businesses and individuals.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance and research principles.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills.
• CPA, EA, or progress toward a professional tax credential preferred.
