Sr. Accountant

Senior Accountant Onsite | Full-Time We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing organization. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong full-cycle accounting experience who is comfortable working across month-end close, financial reporting, payroll, AP/AR, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting and maintain accurate financial records
• Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and deferred revenue
• Prepare balance sheet, bank, and credit card reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable, vendor invoices, and payment processing
• Support accounts receivable, including billing, cash applications, and collections
• Process bi-weekly payroll, including commissions, bonuses, overtime, deductions, and employee changes
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Ensure revenue and expenses are recorded accurately and timely
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections
• Coordinate with external accounting partners on quarterly and annual tax requirements
• Prepare year-end schedules and support annual tax filings
• Support 1099 preparation and filing
• Assist with payroll, retirement plan, workers’ compensation, and other audits
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Hands-on AP, AR, and payroll experience
• Understanding of financial statements and financial reporting
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and/or ERP systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
