Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Location: New York, NY Type: Temp-to-Perm Rate: $45 to $50/hr Our client, a nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and account schedules
• Process and reconcile payroll through ADP
• Maintain accurate financial records and support audits
• Work closely with internal teams on accounting and financial matters
• Assist with budgeting, reporting, and other accounting projects as needed

Must-Haves

• Nonprofit accounting experience is mandatory
• Strong Great Plains experience
• Hands-on ADP payroll processing experience
• Strong Excel and accounting skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
