Account Follow-Up Representative

We are seeking experienced Account Follow-Up Representatives to support hospital revenue cycle operations and insurance account resolution. This role focuses on working outstanding hospital claims, resolving denials, appeals, rebills, and securing reimbursement from commercial insurance payors.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on outstanding hospital insurance claims
• Research and resolve denied, unpaid, and underpaid claims
• Work directly with insurance payors to secure reimbursement
• Process appeals, corrections, and claim resubmissions
• Maintain accurate account documentation and notes
• Manage assigned accounts receivable inventory while meeting productivity goals

Requirements

• 2+ years of hospital billing/revenue cycle experience (hospital setting required)
• Experience with hospital insurance follow-up and collections
• Strong knowledge of denials, appeals, rebilling, and claim resolution
• Experience with Cerner (Oracle Health) required; experience with Meditech preferred
• Understanding of primary, secondary, and tertiary claims
• Experience working with commercial insurance payors and clearinghouses
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills
