Unit Details: Surgical Technologist First Assistant (STFA) must have recent experience providing advanced technical support to surgeons before, during, and after surgical procedures. Working under the direction of the surgeon, this role assists with tissue handling, hemostasis, wound closure, exposure of the operative site, and other intraoperative duties while maintaining a sterile environment.
Healthcare Professionals must satisfy any required credentialing items before traveling to a strike. USN will prioritize booking travel arrangements for Healthcare Professionals with a complete file. If you arrive on-site with missing or outstanding items, you may not be eligible to work the strike.BLS Required; NBSTA or NCCT, and FIRST ASSIST CST Required Travelers work for a limited amount of time at a particular location, providing patient care and support before moving on to their next exciting adventure.
