L&D ICURN requires experience with extremely high acuity laboring patients including ability to manage a minimum of 2 vasopressors, DKA receiving insulin infusion therapy, a-lines, interpret cardiac telemetry strip, correct interventions for arrhythmias, and manage active seizure. RN will manage care of high-risk patient population, including during premature onset of labor, NST, OB triage,OR procedures including D&E, D&C, cerclage placement and removal, and C-sections (circulate only). L&D ICU nurse cares for patients in all stages of labor and delivery care with special attention to the ICU level of care as necessary. This care includes completing initial baby assessment for full term births. The NICU team completes initial assessment for preterm births. RN will initiate NRP resuscitative steps and call for backup as needed. RN is responsible for providing initial and ongoing couplet care (mom/baby). Must have strong IV and venipuncture skills. Must be able to assess, evaluate, and interpret FM tracings with appropriate interventions based on the findings. Assess for PPH Risk and respond appropriately with Stage-Based interventions related to quantified blood loss. Manage care of patients who require ICU level of care following delivery who are typically transferred to an ICU when and as appropriate. Familiarity with Epic and Obix is pref.
Healthcare Professionals must satisfy any required credentialing items before traveling to a strike. USN will prioritize booking travel arrangements for Healthcare Professionals with a complete file. If you arrive on-site with missing or outstanding items, you may not be eligible to work the strike.
