A typical day may include completing an audit, researching a nuanced surgical coding question, preparing educational materials, and meeting with a provider to explain documentation or coding recommendations. You will have the autonomy to organize your workload and exercise sound professional judgment while remaining connected to a collaborative team that shares knowledge and supports one another across specialties.
The strongest fit will be an experienced professional Coder who has progressed into auditing, education, quality, compliance, or coding advisory work. Substantial surgical coding experience is highly valued, and direct Neurology or Neurosurgery coding experience is especially desirable.
