The work will be varied and may include resolving an immediate cloud or application issue, reviewing and writing Python code, improving a delivery pipeline, or developing a reusable self-service solution. The successful candidate will be comfortable entering unfamiliar technical environments, identifying root causes, and personally contributing the engineering work needed to move a solution forward.
Main Responsibilities:

- Partner directly with application and technology teams to understand technical problems and develop practical solutions.
- Review existing Python code and write new Python code supporting cloud, infrastructure, automation, and DevOps use cases.
- Build, support, troubleshoot, and improve CI/CD processes and development workflows.
- Work with source-control and artifact-management tools such as GitHub and Artifactory.
- Automate recurring infrastructure and engineering activities.
- Design and develop reusable self-service solutions that help internal teams address common technical needs.
- Perform root-cause analysis across cloud infrastructure, application, and delivery environments.
- Contribute to both immediate technical troubleshooting and longer-term engineering projects.
- Use AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code and Microsoft Copilot, to support solution design, development, and troubleshooting.
- Apply sound security practices while developing cloud and DevOps solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers across geographically distributed teams and technical disciplines.
Must Have Skills:
- Five or more years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot AWS infrastructure issues and implement practical technical solutions.
- Two or more years of hands-on Python development experience, with the ability to review existing code and write new code for automation, cloud, or DevOps use cases.
- Three or more years of hands-on CI/CD experience.
- Practical experience with source-control, artifact-management, build, integration, and deployment processes.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across cloud, infrastructure, application, and DevOps environments.
- Experience working directly with application or technology teams to solve complex engineering problems.
- Ability to move between different technical problems and become productive in unfamiliar environments.
- A hands-on engineering mindset with the ability and willingness to code, configure, automate, troubleshoot, and implement solutions.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with GitHub and Artifactory.
- Experience building cloud or infrastructure automation and self-service engineering solutions.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Microsoft Copilot.
- Previous security or cybersecurity experience.
- Experience working across infrastructure, application development, DevOps, and security disciplines.
- Experience in cloud enablement, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or internal developer platforms.
