Job Requirements Starting Salary: $68,000/yearly

We’re looking for a Senior Benefits Analyst with strong HRIS and analytical skills to support the accurate administration of team member benefits and leaves. In this role, you’ll use system data, reporting, and regular audits to maintain accurate records, identify process improvements, and help ensure the team’s work is consistent and compliant.

You’ll also serve as a subject matter expert for the Benefits team - helping document procedures, review work, and train and coach colleagues. This role is a good fit for someone who combines detailed benefits knowledge with a practical, data-focused approach and a commitment to helping team members.

Work Experience

What you’ll do:

Benefits and retirement plan administration

  • Administer health, dental, vision, FSA and HSA, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
  • Process benefit eligibility, enrollments, qualifying life events, and cancellations accurately and on time in the appropriate systems.
  • Review enrollment submissions and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Help team members understand their benefits, eligibility, enrollment options, and claims procedures; look for opportunities to improve benefits education.
  • Lead day-to-day administration of the company’s 401(k) plan.
  • Track plan contributions in arrears, send appropriate correspondence, and coordinate collection of payments due.
  • Prepare and review hours reporting to support ACA compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits of benefit enrollments, coverage levels, premiums, and contributions; investigate discrepancies and support timely corrections.
  • Use HRIS and reporting tools to analyze benefit and leave data, maintain accurate records, and identify opportunities to improve processes.

Team support and process improvement

  • Partner with the Benefits Manager to document and update standard operating procedures and process flows.
  • Review and audit the quality and accuracy of benefits and leave processing.
  • Help train and coach Benefits team members.
  • Assist team members with self-service benefits tools in the HCM system and help managers use self-service tools related to leave and team member information.
  • Use document management systems to maintain benefits and leave files.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture colleagues and take on other related duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring:

  • At least five years of experience administering health, welfare, and retirement plans.
  • At least five years of experience administering New York State Disability, New York State Paid Family Leave, and FMLA.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and auditing skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office; UKG/Kronos experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of benefits policies and procedures, plan documents, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, wage and hour requirements, and other applicable employment laws.
  • Ability to apply plan documents and regulations to individual situations and recognize when an issue should be escalated.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and a problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage confidential information.

What we value:

  • Positivity – Team members who are passionate to learn, energetic to hit the ground running and willing to grow in a professional, team-oriented environment with a focus on guest service.
