Overview

Dev Ops Engineer

Hybrid – Paoli, PA

The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in Turn5's E-Commerce development organization, owning the infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and runtime environments that power our e-commerce platform and supporting services. Reporting to the Sr. Technical Delivery Manager and working closely with developers, architects, and the IT support team, this role keeps development and production environments reliable, observable, and fast, and helps the team ship changes with confidence.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that provide reliable, repeatable builds, testing, and deployments for ASP.NET and C# applications.
  • Manage and support Kubernetes clusters through Rancher, including workload deployment, scaling, upgrades, and overall cluster health.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize Docker images and container configurations for development and production workloads.
  • Administer our internal container and NuGet package repositories (ProGet), including feeds, access, retention, and package promotion across environments.
  • Configure and maintain load balancers to ensure high availability, proper traffic distribution, and consistent performance of production services.
  • Manage Cloudflare configuration, including DNS, caching, security rules, and traffic routing, to protect and accelerate our e-commerce sites.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting across applications and infrastructure, respond to alerts, and tune thresholds to surface real issues without excess noise.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production and development environment issues, partnering with developers to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Analyze performance and monitoring data, and funnel findings and improvement recommendations back to the development team.
  • Support the E-Commerce Development team day to day by providing environments, tooling, and technical guidance that keep development work moving.
  • Work with the IT support team on networking, access, server, and environment needs, coordinating handoffs and resolving shared issues.
  • Document environments, deployment processes, and runbooks so knowledge is shared and incident response is consistent.
  • Participate in incident response and an after-hours support rotation as needed for critical production issues.

What We’re Looking For

We value strong fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to grow. If you’re stronger on some of these and lighter on others, that’s perfectly fine – we’re more interested in your ability to solve problems, collaborate, and grow with the team. If you have a solid foundation and are excited to learn, we want to hear from you.

  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows with a modern CI/CD platform.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and a management platform such as Rancher, including deploying and troubleshooting containerized workloads.
  • Proficiency with Docker or similar container tooling and container-based development and deployment practices.
  • Experience configuring and managing load balancers and web traffic routing.
  • Experience with Cloudflare or a similar CDN provider, including DNS, caching, and security features.
  • Experience managing private container registries and NuGet package repositories, such as ProGet or similar artifact management tools.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools and practices, and a data-driven approach to performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET Core on .NET 10 and C# sufficient to build, debug, and troubleshoot application issues alongside developers.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay calm and methodical during production incidents.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, IT support, and non-technical stakeholders.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll join an eCommerce Development group made up of senior and mid-level developers, and you’ll work closely with our IT Development and IT Support teams. We prioritize work-life balance, clear communication, and helping each other succeed.
